It’s the most wonderful time of the year…but finding thoughtful, personal gifts for loved ones isn’t always easy. And many shoppers don't realise Argos have a range of premium products that could make the perfect present!

So we created Trevor’s Dreamworld: a world-first AI-powered brand experience that transformed Trevor the Dinosaur, Argos' brand mascot and TV star, into a fully interactive, real-time video conversational AI that helped people discover specially-selected gifts from Argos.

This innovative experience meant building a bespoke techstack combining an LLM-powered conversational AI and cutting edge AI voice synthesis to create our cheeky little green dino friend, all to create a completely new way of browsing Argos' full range of inspiring products.

We turned a retail unit in Manchester into an immersive recreation of the Christmas ATL ad creative - a winter wonderland filled with cloudscapes, ambient music and twinkling lights. From there, Trevor spoke to shoppers face to face. He learnt about who they were shopping for (everything from age and budget to hobbies, interests and preferences) and dispensed personalised, clickable gift lists from Argos' wide range of premium products.

Alongside that, Trevor threw in cheeky wisecracks and some unexpected festive surprises for delighted guests (such as a coveted Red Ticket).

He interacted directly with 600+ visitors in just one day, with an additional reach of 150k, thanks to hyper-local OOH. And most importantly he proved that…whatever they’re dreaming of, there’s more to Argos.
