As the largest pizza company in the world, Pizza Hut leads the way with new exciting products that its customers love. In Summer 2024 Pizza Hut prepared to unveil its new, handcrafted range, replacing its classic dough with sourdough bases. Exclusively launching on Uber Eats, Pizza Hut partnered with Uber Advertising to maximise the new dough’s impact.

Pizza Hut and Uber’s teams designed a full-funnel and data-driven contextual strategy to raise awareness, consideration and conversion with its target audience. This included using Uber Rides’ Journey Ads format, with ad delivery based on users' pizza preferences, destinations, and proximity to Pizza Hut locations.

The creative featured Uber’s first in-market playable ad, designed specifically for this campaign, and was supported by Sponsored Listings on the Uber Eats Home feed, where the pizza keyword was leveraged in search to engage intent-driven customers through sophisticated Keyword Targeting (KWT). In-app billboards, CRM, and Push Messaging provided additional exposure, reinforcing the campaign’s visibility across multiple channels.

The campaign successfully raised engagement, with an increase in new customers and sales. The results included a 9.57 ROAS for Sponsored Listings, £95,000 sales generated from Journey Ads, and a 26% increase in New Eaters.
