I Will Always Be Me

Dell Technologies, Intel and VMLY&R partnered with the Motor Neurone Disease Association and Rolls-Royce to create “I Will Always Be Me,” a first-of-its-kind book for people living with motor neurone disease (MND) that banks their voices as they read aloud. A very similar disease is amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

People suffering with this devastating illness often have access to voice banking technology that can help them create a synthesized version of their real voice, but the process is long, arduous and lonely. Our team came up with a revolutionary way to make the process easier and more meaningful. To launch the project, a documentary was created showing people with MND and their families as they experience the book for the first time. The project launched in late January 2022 and will continue throughout the year.
