Each year 9M homeowners experience issues that need a quick fix – whether it’s a boiler that’s on the blink, a blocked drain, or a tripping fuse box. However, despite being a household name across the UK, British Gas’ share of the home repair market was under-delivering compared to local tradesmen who were seen as more trustworthy, reliable, and accessible.

In November 2023, we designed a solution to dynamically ingest and optimise our campaigns using British Gas engineer capacity data, leveraging a mix of platform APIs and custom algorithm, and named it Availability Engine. Our objective this year was to bring operational data at the heart of all performance media to take our results even further, keeping our engineers fixing pipes and saving bathtimes, better than ever before.
